Maggie and Nick - July 26, 2008

Maggie contacted me through the Geneva Wedding Walk last January and we started planning for her and Nick's July wedding shortly afterward. It turned out to be a spectacular day. I have to say, I don't think I've seen so many beautiful people in one place at the same time...ever...bride and groom at the top of the list...

Vanessa called just a couple weeks before their wedding and just wanted a few pictures of the ceremony at Chapel in the Pines. Early in the day it looked like the weather wouldn't cooperate, but in the end the clouds broke and the sun came out. Perfect for their early evening wedding. I think the pictures of the two of them in the grass behind the chapel are some of the most beautiful wedding portraits I've taken.

Jennifer and Kevin - July 4, 2008

I guess they're the wedding counterpart to "Born the 4th of July". Jennifer and Kevin started dating and got engaged on July 4th so that's when they wanted to get married. July 4th in Illinois can be brutal, but this year it was gorgeous - sunny and not too hot...
